I wanted to be a musician with all my heart, but it didn’t work out. With my studies in Fine Arts I did not do much better. I also worked for a few years as a gardener, but I didn’t feel complete.

My parents, worried about me, one day said to me:

Son, it is about time that you find your purpose in life, you have to do something you feel passionate about that can also provide you with stability. Why not join a Culinary Arts School?

I had never considered it, I had always thought of it as a hobby, but sometimes we don’t conceive that our passion and profession can be the same. Is there a better way to earn a living? How could I have not thought about it before?

My passion for gastronomy is a family thing: my grandmothers and my mother are excellent cooks and gastronomy was always important in my family. I joined the Culinary Arts School of Toledo, and I started my career.

After I finished my studies, I started to work in prestigious restaurants and hotels until, with time, I managed to take the lead in numerous restaurants throughout Spain.

While all of this was happening, I met the person whose support, strength and love helped to complete my life: Victoria, my wife and the mother of my son. This industry is really hard work, and without them I don’t know if I would still be doing it . I’ll never be able to thank her enough.

It was Victoria who encouraged me to open my own business in 2011.

When we asked my family and friends for advice, they always said we were crazy, they couldn’t understand why I would leave a stable job during a financial crisis… It seemed like the name of the restaurant was starting to stick.

We decided not to give up on our dream and thanks to our family, great friends, and team of talented professionals, we managed to open our little restaurant. Regadera was born.

A few years later, Regadera grew up. In 2015 we moved to a bigger space, and we opened the restaurant I’d always dreamed of.

I’m one of the luckiest people I know, working with the best team I could ever wish for. It is thanks to them that Regadera continues to be possible. It is them who have made my dream a reality.

THANK YOU to all who have visited us. Thank you for your trust and never forget that if Regadera exists, it is for and because of you. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
